War is nothing new to any of us, it has been around for centuries, but it doesn't get any easier. In the past year Russia declared war on Ukraine after they were in the process of joining NATO. But this isn't something new, it has been broiling for a while now and the bubble finally just popped.
Ukraine has been under the shadow of Russia since the USSR was disbanded. And so with Ukraine joining NATO it would mean Russia would lose all of their power within Ukraine. And so Putin decided that in order for him to stay supported by his regime. And so due to the invasion of Ukraine, the war gained world coverage. And so with this it helped America allow to get across the message that "That Russian communist regime is conquering other countries" and so this sent some of America in turmoil due to our history with being under control of Britain.
NATO also has not helped with the situation at all, because they never actually accepted Ukraine into their group. They have sent some help, but for the most part they have just left Ukraine on their own. But even at that Ukraine has been holding off Russia for nearly a year now.
Overall I believe that the situation in Ukraine is very unfortunate due to them trying to join NATO but being declined. Plus ontop of that the media started out with covering the situation, but slowly overtime the media grew disinterested in it.
